Boston vs DC: Contrasting Two East Coast Cities

When it comes to East Coast cities with rich histories, cultural significance, and bustling urban vibes, Boston vs DC often top the list. 

Living just an hour outside of Boston, MA my family and I travel there often. We love taking the Downeaster train down to North Station and spending the day. I also have spent many weeks in Washington DC, not only with my family but also chaperoning 8th grade trips there!

This is actually one of my favorite zoos in the country. This zoo offers a fun and educational experience for visitors of all ages. 

Home to over 2,000 animals representing more than 400 species, the National Zoo provides a unique opportunity to observe wildlife from around the world, including giant pandas, African lions, and Asian elephants. 

The National Zoo is not just a zoo; it’s a sanctuary dedicated to the preservation and protection of our planet’s precious biodiversity.

Arlington National Cemetery

Arlington Cemetery stands as a solemn and poignant testament to the sacrifices made by generations of American service members.

Nestled in Arlington, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., this hallowed ground serves as the final resting place for over 400,000 individuals, including veterans, military leaders, and notable figures like President John F. Kennedy. 

Visiting Arlington Cemetery is not merely a tourist activity; it’s a deeply moving experience that honors the courage, valor, and patriotism of those who have served our nation.
