Is Marbella Worth Visiting? | Explore the Sunny City

Of all of the cities in the sunny Costa del Sol, you may be wondering is Marbella worth visiting?

Marbella is a city of luxury, history, and beautiful sea views. Our family, original from New England, stayed right outside of this beautiful city for 6 days. We can say that without a shadow of a doubt that it is an experience that every southern Spanish traveler should have.

Whether you are going to Marbella for the luxury resorts, the pristine beaches, or the history that “old town” provides, you are sure to find something captivating.

Below are some of our reasons why we think Marbella is worth visiting.

A Warm Welcome Under the Spanish Sun

From the moment we arrived, Marbella extended a warm welcome that went beyond its sunny weather.

As we walked along the Golden Mile, marveling at the luxurious resorts and palm-lined avenues, we felt like we were suddenly on a tropical vacation.

Marbella is said to get over 320 days of sun a year! That is a welcome change from those traveling from areas around the globe that endure many cloudy days and are looking for reprieve.

Historic Marbella Old Town

Our exploration led us to the heart of Marbella – its Old Town. Cobbled streets with lots of store windows transported us to a bygone era.

The historic charm radiated from Orange Square, where quaint cafes invited us to savor the authentic Spanish atmosphere.

Marbella blends together traditional and modern luxury into a perfect mix.

Luxurious Beaches

Marbella’s beaches radiate opulence against the backdrop of the Mediterranean. Yachts glisten in the marina, and designer boutiques lined the waterfront.

This coastal haven seamlessly marries luxury with seaside charm. Marbella creates an ambiance where sun-kissed sands meet the epitome of refinement against the deep blue sea.

Gastronomic Delights and Culinary Adventures

Marbella’s culinary scene added a flavorful dimension to our journey. From traditional tapas bars in the Old Town to Michelin-starred restaurants, every meal felt like a celebration. The local seafood, Andalucian specialties, and world-class dining options underscored the notion that part of what makes Marbella worth visiting is the delightful gastronomic journey it offers.

There are many high end restaurants right on the water that you can indulge in and feel a little glamorous.
