Unfortunately you cannot swim in Silver Springs. You can, however, kayak and paddleboard down the river. 

Does the Silver River in Florida have alligators?

Absolutely! Many alligators live in Silver River along with lots of other wildlife like manatees, snakes, turtles, birds, and many fish.
