Our base camp, nestled within the heart of Silver Springs State Park, offered a refreshing escape into nature.
This Ocala Florida Springs campground is surrounded by the towering pines and the soothing sounds of nature. A genuine camping experience.
The rustling leaves and distant chirps of wildlife serenaded us as we set up our temporary home.
From our campsite we saw a black racer searching for food, evidence of wild boar digging in the ground, and enjoyed a museum right down the road.
Campsite Comforts
With spacious RV sites equipped with electric hookups and water connections, our Class C seamlessly integrated into the woodland landscape. A rustic picnic table and fire ring added to the back-to-basics charm, creating the perfect setting for cozy family gatherings under the starlit sky.
The bath houses were clean and appeared to be fairly new. We enjoyed hot showers and did loads of laundry in their facilities.
Silver Springs State Park Adventures
Exploring the park became a daily ritual. The crystalline Silver Springs, a short hike away, unveiled its mesmerizing beauty.
Kayaking along the Silver River offered glimpses of wildlife – from sunbathing turtles to the occasional manatee gliding beneath our kayaks. Silver Springs itself is a magical place that you can kayak down. We saw manatees, monkeys, and alligators!
Nature trails beckoned, leading us through the untamed Florida wilderness, each step a testament to the diverse ecosystems that call this area home.

Juniper Springs Recreation Area Campground
Venturing beyond Silver Springs State Park, we discovered the Juniper Springs Recreation Area, a rustic retreat that added a different flavor to our camping escapade.

Alexander Springs Recreation Area

Silver Springs RV Park
Silver Springs RV Park is a peaceful getaway for people who love nature and traveling.
It’s located in a beautiful place with lots of greenery and a calm atmosphere. The park has big spots for RVs with everything you need for a comfy stay.
Plus, it’s close to Silver Springs State Park, where you can enjoy clear springs, hiking, and seeing wildlife. Whether you like fishing or just relaxing in nature, this RV park is a great choice.
